Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Quals app and website. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Who can use QualsNew
Quals is for swimmers of all ages and the parents, guardians, and coaches who support them. Children under 13 should use Quals with a parent, guardian, or coach, and purchases should be made by an adult. Swimmer profiles are entered and managed by the swimmer’s parent, guardian, or coach, or by the swimmer with their permission.
Licence
You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple or Android devices that you own or control, in accordance with the terms of the store you got it from (the Apple App Store Terms of Service or the Google Play Terms of Service).
Time standards are reference only
Time standards in the app are compiled from publicly published sources and provided for reference and convenience only. They are not official documents. Always confirm qualifying times, eligibility rules, and meet requirements with the relevant governing body before making entry decisions. We are not responsible for decisions made in reliance on the app.
No affiliation
Quals is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Swimming Canada, USA Swimming, or any provincial, state, or regional swimming organization.
Purchases and subscriptions
- The app is free to download and includes a limited number of time checks per 48-hour period at no cost.
- Pro and Coach are auto-renewing yearly subscriptions, sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Account at confirmation of purchase. Each subscription renews automatically for another year unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. On iPhone or iPad, manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions). On Android, manage or cancel in the Google Play Store app (profile picture, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions).
- Pricing is shown in the App Store or Google Play at checkout and may change for future periods with notice through that store. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
Your data
Data you enter is stored on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups using the app's backup feature. See the Privacy Policy.
Sharing information about othersNew
If you enter or share swimmer information through club records sharing or any other feature, including information about minors, you are responsible for having the right to enter and share that information and for its accuracy. Share club records files only with people who should have that information, such as other coaches at the same club.
Acceptable use
You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its compiled standards dataset, or use the app in a way that violates applicable law.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.
